Lohan's coke shoes

Apparently (according to popeater.com) Saturday night Lindsay Lohan was leaving a friends party & was seen walking with white powder all over her feet & coming out of her shoes in little puffs as she walked.  While some people like to put some baby powder in their shoes to soak up sweat there's no way anyone would need this much!  I'm assuming (along with most people) that she had some bags of cocaine in her heels & they broke open as she was walking.  I would guess that it would be kind of hard to keep bags of anything from breaking inside a super high heel where your weight isn't evenly distributed.  I mean, she's carrying a huge purse so why not stash your shit in there?  If it is coke I'll bet she went home & found a way to snort it right off of her feet...I watch Intervention, I know how these people are!  Maybe that's what LL needs, to be on Intervention or celeb rehab with Dr. Drew, because she's on a road to nowhere.

Butler gives Aniston the shocker?

During the red carpet at the premiere of their film "The Bounty Hunter" in Paris on the Seine River it looks as though Gerard was picking his seat early!  As you can see in the photo that was taken by a photag obviously from behind, Gerard is pretty much giving Jen the Shocker; likely to make her laugh but there is no way that any guy who hasn't seen you naked would ever go that far with an ass grab.  I'm just saying!  They might not be a couple but I'll bet the sex is hot.  I have no idea who the other guy in the picture (courtesy of daveandchuckthefreak.com) is but he's sure missing out on the fun.

Kelly Killoren Bensimon is so effing dumb...

I've been meaning to write about this for a couple weeks & keep forgetting.  So in a recent episode of Real Housewives of New York City she said "PETA doesn't say don't wear fur, they say don't abuse animals" and then she went on and on about how she does eat meat & does wear fur but she doesn't abuse animals so she will continue to wear fur & eat meat until she doesn't want to anymore.

If PETA doesn't say 'don't wear fur' then how come their current campaign (Bethenny posed for an ad) is called "I'd rather go naked than wear fur"?  Don't you think that implies that they don't want people wearing fur?

Now I'm not a PETA person, I eat meat & I love it & have no plans of ever quitting eating it.  I don't wear fur because I can't afford it & I also think it's very 80's...fur isn't the status symbol it used to be & most faux fur feels pretty damn real & is about 1/4 of the cost of real fur & I'm on a budget.  The whole point of this post is how stupid Kelly is, ever since the first time I heard her say "hi" in her obnoxious fake high pitched voice I wanted to punch her.  She thinks she's so high & mighty & the hottest thing around & she's not, she's stupid (like ignorant stupid), so fake, and she doesn't care about anyone other than herself & can I also say that for a model she dresses pretty WT.  I've never seen/met anyone like her & hopefully there aren't any more of them out there!

Suri Cruise...what a spoiled brat!

Man, I cannot wait for little Suri to grow up & be a demanding teenager who makes her parents lives a living hell because they deserve it for catering to her every whim.  What parent would actually say "my kid hates jeans & favors dresses"?  Seriously, your child wears what you put them in whether they like it or not.  ""They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them for her and she loves them"...she's 3, again, she should love whatever you tell her to wear & there is no effing reason that any child, regardless of who their parents are, should be carrying an $850 Ferragamo purse!  It also blows my mind that they would allow this little girl to wear makeup, do they not have any clue as to what they are setting themselves up for?  She's going to be at her first day of real school & when she's told to change into her gym clothes do they honestly think that she'll get away with saying "I only wear dresses & heels, I'll do no such thing".  All they are doing is raising this girl to be a major bitch who doesn't listen to authority & always gets her way so I can't wait until she's popped for a DUI & doesn't understand why she has to go to jail.  Life without rules is not a very good life for a kid, I don't care if she doesn't like coats she would definitely be wearing one when it's cold out but nope, they don't make her because "she doesn't like it".  She's 3, she doesn't know what she likes & if she was going to be that demanding to not wear a coat then she would stay home, period.  Discipline is key & as early as possible but it seems to me that this little girl doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Green Bags

Ok since it's St. Pat's I figured I'd discuss something green today & that item would be Green Bags which are awesome & they really do work, I can get a head of lettuce to last almost 2 weeks, especially if I actually do wipe out the inside of the bag every other day to remove the condensation which ruins the veggies.  Here's my one complaint about them though...they will keep your bananas edible for at least a week if not longer (I bought the one I'm eating on the 7th) but once you get near the end right before they turn all brown & mushy the banana is firm on the inside but the peel shreds & falls apart as you peel the banana.  I have all kinds of issues related to food appearance, texture, and in general things falling apart.

For example, if I take a paper towel off the roll & it happens to tear in half I will remove the second half from the roll & throw both pieces away & take a fresh one that is 100% in tact.  If someone else takes a paper towel & it leaves a corner behind on the roll I'll pull the corner off & trash it before removing my paper towel.  In the same respect if I open a cup of applesauce or a fruit cup all of the plastic/foil has to be gone before I can eat it.  Yesterday I had this very small piece of foil that was stuck to the edge of my applesauce cup & I spent a good 5 minutes & a thumbnail getting it off of there so I could eat the applesauce.  Another example would be a large burger/sandwich...when everything starts falling out of the sandwich from the other side & all over the plate most times I'm jut done, I won't eat it because I wanted a sandwich not a bunch of meat & bread on a plate.

Back to the banana...I started peeling mine today & and as I did the strip of peel broke off in my hand and yes again it grossed me out.  I was able to move past it & slowly peel the banana from that point on to keep the peel in tact so I could actually eat the damn thing & it was very tasty but a major pain in the ass.  So if you have issues with your banana peel staying in tact make sure you eat them within the first week of them turning yellow!

Best & Worst of the red carpet Oscars 2010

Hey guys, sorry it took so long for me to post this...I actually thought I already had!

First up are the guys...it's kind of hard to pick best & worst when it comes to the men because they all look the same to me but it was a toss up between these 2 fellas on the left here Quentin Tarantino & Robert Downey Jr.  Now, Quentin always looks like a big old freaking disaster so technically he looked pretty good at the Oscars but really not so much.  Downey on the other hand usually looks fairly dapper but this blue bowtie & tennis shoes is just tacky for the Oscars & I was very disappointed so I chose Downey as worst dressed male at the Oscars this year.

Now for best dressed fella...this one wasn't all that easy either!  It came down to these 2 guys, Ryan Reynolds & Tom Ford...both wearing tuxes by Tom Ford.  I thought Ryan looked very handsome & the tux fit like a glove, I like the classic style with a slight sheen to the fabric as well but I think I have to choose Tom Ford in Tom Ford as best dressed.  I mean, it's kind of hard to beat a menswear designer wearing his own design for best dressed but Ryan really did come close.

Now for the good stuff!!!  Here are my picks for worst dressed female.
Charlize Cinnaboobs Theron, Zoe Saldana, and Diane Kruger...Zoe & Diane are both wearing looks fresh off of the runway & though they may look awesome on the runway at fashion week they aren't necessarily made for the bodies of these women. Diane looks like she's wearing a dress covered with those kleenex flowers (you know what I'm talking about?), Zoe's dress appears to have a dyed poodle on the bottom & well, Cinnaboobs speaks for itself.  I think my choice for worst is going to have to be Zoe...Cinnaboobs look stupid but at least the dress itself fits (though it's all wrinkled & looks kind of like a bridesmaid dress).  Zoe's dress is ill fitting & the dress isn't cohesive within itself...so odd.
Now on to the good part...my favorite fashions of the night.  I loved Elizabeth Banks in the gray dress, she looked stunning!  The watercolor print on Rachel McAdams' dress was so pretty, I loved the colors & the simplicity of the dress style as well, the color & print made it something different.  I also loved Kate Winslet's look though when I first saw her I thought she was wearing a pantsuit but once I realized she wasn't I fell in love.  The dress fit like a glove, her body looks amazing in it, her hair & jewelry was all perfect as well...as soon as I saw her I knew that she was my Best Dressed Female for the Oscars 2010.

Corey Haim, Dead at age 38

So not that I'm really all that shocked given his history of drug problems but we lost another icon from our childhood.  Well, I can't say that everyone did but I know I did, both Coreys were in so many of my favorite movies growing up but Haim was so cute, I had posters of him all over my bedroom walls.  I think I fell in love with him in The Lost Boys and then License to Drive just sealed the deal for me though I will admit that my favorite role of his was as Dinger in Dream A Little Dream.

The investigation is under way to find out the cause of death which could have been related to a flu he had that he was being medicated for, drugs, or a combination of all of it.  Haim's drug use completely ruined his life, his bond with Corey Feldman, and his career.  On the set of Lost Boys 2 Haim was apparently so high the majority of his scenes had to be cut, assuming he was even sober enough to leave the trailer to film them.  I wonder if A&E will run a marathon of The 2 Coreys this weekend?  Haim was a mess on that show too, it was reality that's for sure.

I'm sure Feldman is heart broken, first MJ & then Haim, not to mention that he & his wife Suzy just got divorced though he should be thrilled about that...she was one nasty bitch!  For the full article click here

Movies I checked out a while back

In the last few weeks I've seen a few movies, not as many as usual since I was in Florida & busy with actual social activities but here's what I thought about them.

First we have Love Happens which appeared to be a comedy in the previews but after seeing Jen on Chelsea Lately I knew it wasn't a comedy at all.  Sure, it had comical moments but it was a somewhat depressing drama about a guy who had lost his wife & is a Tony Robbins type of speaker & author of a self help book titled "I'm OK" or something to that effect.  Anyway, the guy (Aaron Eckhart) meets Jen in the lobby of the hotel he's working at & she's the flower lady.  She owns a local flower shop & anyway...they start hanging out & through the movie they both realize plenty about each other, themselves, and the people around them.  I enjoyed the movie for it's sorrow & the fact that these 2 people getting together wasn't really the primary focus of the movie as we learned a lot about the other characters who were also in it.  This is definitely not a guy movie but I'd suggest it to the typical chick flick kind of girl.

Next we have Taxi Driver which I've had saved on my DVR for over a year & finally decided to watch it.  This movie left me extremely disappointed...in the past I'd seen the beginning of it which grabbed my interest so when I saw it coming on HBO I recorded it for later.  Overall I thought the movie was boring, it was a lot of build up with an "as-if" ending.  I thought De Niro was great in the movie as was Jodie Foster but the movie itself was kind of pointless.  A cabby who hates the scum of NYC yet looks at it non-stop; all I kept thinking was "why in the hell would someone who hates the scum of NYC drive a cab & have said scum in their face all the time".  Like I said, I liked the acting, I enjoyed being in De Niro's head since he was a complete & total whack job & of course the classic "you talking to me" but aside from all of that it was blah, I wouldn't watch it again, it's too slow for my liking.

Third we have Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais, Tea Leoni, and Greg Kinnear which I picked up as my free rental to go with the last movie I'll review.  This looked kind of funny in the previews when it was in the theater so I figured for free why not?  Well I'm glad I picked it up, Gervais is freaking funny so you can't really go wrong with a movie he's in and while the movie had it's boring points it was actually quite funny.  If I laugh out loud I consider something funny & I did LOL a few times during this one.  Basically Gervais plays a dentist who hates people, hates talking & just loves his peace & quiet until he starts seeing ghosts.  He's the only person who can see them so the ghosts start harassing him all the time & he wants nothing to do with them except Kinnear who convinces him to help with his wife he left behind (Leoni) so on goes the story & Gervais starts to fall for Leoni (shocker I know) and on goes the story which ends sweetly.  I don't want to say anymore or I'll give it away.

Last but not least we have Away We Go with John Krasinski & Maya Rudolph which I'd been meaning to rent & kept forgetting. & I'm so glad I finally checked it out.  This was totally my kind of movie, a little offbeat & not your typical love story.  Basically these 2 are pregnant & they are currently living where they do because of his parents well they up & decide to move out of the country for 2 years so the couple decides that there's no real reason to stay where they are so they start traveling.  They visit her sister in AZ, his cousin somewhere else, some friends in Vancouver (I think) and these people are quite the characters...Maggie Gyllenhaal plays LN (pronounced Ellen) and her character is hysterical as are Krasinski's parents.  The movie ended on a very sweet note once they decided where to live, it all made sense & it was great to see them happy.  I really liked the couple they played & the whole point behind the story of trying to find a place to root before becoming a family.  I definitely suggest this one & while it's a romantic comedy it's not really a chick flick, I think most boys would like it given the humor.
